Frequently asked questions
Where are the classes located?
Most of our classes are held at the HAA Studio, located at 8610 Hamilton Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92646. Our plein air landscape classes and workshops take place at beautiful parks and beaches across Orange County.
How do I pay for classes out of pocket?
After registering for a class online, please bring a check or cash to the first class. Ensure that the student's name is clearly written on either the envelope or the memo space on the check.
Can I join a class after the semester has already started?
Yes! If you would like to join a class mid-semester, you can register through our website and pay a prorated amount for the remainder of the semester.
What materials do I need for my class?
Please check the course description of your class on our website for the materials info. Also, a list of materials can be found in our Amazon storefront here: amazon.com/shop/chapmanhamborgart
Where do I park for drop-off and pick-up?
Students can park in the 8 parking spots in front of and to the left of our studio. Please do not park beyond the sign placed in front of the studio. If all spots are taken, there is street parking available.
What if the class I want to take is sold out?
We have a waitlist for all of our sold-out classes. It is very common that spots will open up in the weeks prior to a class starting, so if you would like to be notified of an opening, register for the class to be placed on the waitlist!
What if my student is outside the recommended age for a class?
Our classes are carefully designed with age-appropriate projects, instruction styles, and peer groups in mind. The age ranges help ensure that each student is set up for success—both artistically and socially. For this reason, we ask that students register only for classes within the posted age group. We offer a variety of classes for students of all ages, so there's something for everyone!
