GRADES 1st & Up TIME 5 days: July 20-24 1:30pm-3:00pm INSTRUCTOR Chapman Hamborg COURSE DESCRIPTION In this 5-day workshop, students will explore the fundamentals of gouache painting while creating colorful seascapes inspired by the coast. Working from observation, students will learn how to capture waves, sky, and shoreline using simple painting techniques. Chapman Hamborg will guide students through a step-by-step process that includes choosing a strong composition, making quick sketches, and turning those ideas into finished paintings. By the end of the week, students will have created several seascapes while building confidence with color, brushwork, and observation. This workshop is a fun and encouraging way for young artists to explore painting and connect with the beauty of the ocean. MATERIALS All materials are included in the price of the workshop.
