GRADES 3rd & Up TIME 5 days: June 22 - 26 9:00am-12:00pm INSTRUCTOR Maddison Olivia COURSE DESCRIPTION In this 5-day art camp, students will explore a variety of drawing and mixed media techniques while creating unique, layered artwork. We’ll start with foundational drawing skills using charcoal and graphite, then experiment with different materials to add color, texture, and depth. Students will work with inks, oil pastels, and natural pigments made from tea and fruit to create watercolor-style washes. They’ll also learn fun surface techniques like staining paper with coffee to create warm tonal backgrounds before adding drawings and mixed media elements on top. Collage materials and dried flowers will also be incorporated to bring each piece to life. This camp is perfect for curious artists who enjoy experimenting with materials and discovering new ways to create. By the end of the week, students will leave with several finished artworks and a wide range of new techniques to explore at home. MATERIALS All materials are included in the price of the workshop. Any issued credit must be used toward a class or workshop within 6 months of the original purchase date. After 6 months, any remaining credit will be forfeited.
