GRADES TK-3rd Grade TIME 5 days: June 22-26 1:00pm-3:00pm INSTRUCTOR Maddison Olivia COURSE DESCRIPTION In this 5-day art camp, students will explore a variety of fun art materials while creating colorful mixed media artwork. Students will learn simple drawing skills using charcoal and graphite, then add layers of color and texture with inks, oil pastels, and natural watercolor washes made from tea and fruit. Throughout the week, students will experiment with playful techniques like staining paper with coffee to create warm backgrounds before drawing and adding mixed media elements. We’ll also incorporate collage materials and dried flowers to make each piece unique. This camp is designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young artists. By the end of the week, students will take home several finished artworks and lots of new ideas for making art. MATERIALS All materials are included in the price of the workshop. Any issued credit must be used toward a class or workshop within 6 months of the original purchase date. After 6 months, any remaining credit will be forfeited.
