Brittany’s teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every person has the ability to create beautiful things. She is passionate about breaking down the misconception that creativity is reserved for only a select few.
In today’s digital world, where images are constantly consumed, developing visual literacy is more important than ever. Brittany’s goal is to walk alongside her students, helping them grow not only in technical skill but also in creativity, focus, and appreciation for beauty. Through intentional instruction and encouragement, she seeks to nurture a lifelong relationship with the arts—one that continues to enrich students at every stage of life.

BACKGROUND & JOURNEY
Early Years
From a young age, Brittany was drawn to creativity. Although only a few art classes were available through public school, she spent much of her free time drawing and exploring her imagination. Early on, she discovered that art provided comfort, beauty, and a meaningful way to communicate ideas and emotions. This personal connection to art laid the foundation for her lifelong pursuit of creative expression.
Formal Education
Brittany’s formal training began at Saddleback College, where she earned two Associate degrees in Art through a program rooted in academic and classical traditions. She later completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at California State University, Fullerton, where her studies emphasized conceptual art and critical thinking. This combination of classical and conceptual training provided her with a well-rounded understanding of the arts and helped shape her personal artistic philosophy.
Professional Development
With over 10 years of teaching experience, Brittany has worked with students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. This extensive experience has allowed her to develop a thoughtful and effective approach to teaching, grounded in strong pedagogy and a deep understanding of art education philosophy.
