GRADES Teens & Adults TIME 2 days: July 7-8 2:30pm-4:30pm INSTRUCTOR Stephanie Olin COURSE DESCRIPTION In this two-day workshop, students will learn the basics of metalsmithing while creating their own sterling silver spinning ring. Also known as a “spinner ring,” this style features smaller rings that spin around a wider band. Instructor Stephanie Olin will guide students through fundamental techniques including shaping and forming a patterned sterling silver ring band, creating smaller spinner rings in bronze and sterling silver, and learning basic soldering using a butane torch. By the end of the workshop, students will leave with a finished handmade ring and a strong introduction to jewelry-making techniques in a fun and supportive studio setting. MATERIALS All materials are included in the price of the workshop. Any issued credit must be used toward a class or workshop within 6 months of the original purchase date. After 6 months, any remaining credit will be forfeited.
