PRORATED PRICE: $260 + $50 non-refundable registration fee *Price is pro-rated for mid-semester registration -- To simplify registration, full payment of the class fee is now required when booking to secure your place in the class. If paying with charter funds, please register to hold your spot, and use the charter promo code at checkout. Then place an order with your charter. Proof of PO required by the first week of class. Note: This sign up period is for the Spring semester. The class runs throughout the school year (two 15-week semesters). You commit and pay one semester at a time by signing up and paying the registration fee. (You will need to pay the registration fee each semester.) GRADES Teens & Adults TIME Mondays 9:00 am-11:30 am 2.5 hours per week INSTRUCTOR Chapman Hamborg COURSE DESCRIPTION In this class students will learn traditional techniques and methods of oil painting and then develop their personal style and process. Class subjects will be on color theory, light logic, perspective, composition, mark-making, and more. Throughout the year, students will paint from Old Master artworks, plaster casts, still-lifes, plants/trees, live-portrait models, and photographs. Students will also work on personal painting projects with their own intent or goals for their art. This is a really informative and fun art class for beginners and advanced artists alike to develop as an artist and progress in their skills and creativity. CLASS DURATION Spring 2026 15-week semester: January 19, 2026 - May 22, 2026 LOCATION HAA Studio: 8610 Hamilton Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92646 CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations for classes may only be refunded as credit towards another class or workshop. Any issued credit must be used toward a class or workshop within 6 months of the original purchase date. After 6 months, any remaining credit will be forfeited.
